Welcome to the Childbirth Resource Room, a Kitchener-Waterloo based childbirth and postpartum education center offering Childbirth Preparation, Breastfeeding, and Newborn Care classes for the pregnant mother and her support person. Whether you have just found out the exciting news or are just days away from your due date, the Childbirth Resource Room can offer accurate and up-to-date information, practical help and empowering support on all things birth and baby.
As a childbirth educator, I believe that educating parents with evidence-based information, ideas, and philosophies is the best way to empower them to make the choices that are right for them regarding their labor, birth, and postpartum. My goal is to help new parents understand their options, empower them to make the choices that are right for them and support them as they follow their path. No one can truly predict the realities and details of each birth experience, but information, planning and practice can reduce anxiety and build trust in the body’s ability to give birth.
So whether you choose to have your baby in a hospital with a doctor or at home with a midwife, the classes and activities offered by the Childbirth Resource Room provide the information and support you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
